Mr. & Mrs. Knipp

Well, I've been back in the United States for over two weeks now and it seems like I left Italy 5 years ago. All of the rest of my crew left Italy and came back to America today and now we have to only have the memories. I have felt so distant from everyone and its been really hard coming back. It's definitely a wonderful feeling seeing the people I love and catching up with all of my friends, but it hasn't been easy. Luckily, I've had some great things to keep me busy and keep my mind off of missing it. I am a little (a lot) late writing about Brooke's wedding but it was so beautiful and such a great time and there were too many pictures not to share. So here are some highlights from the weekend that I got back to Kentcuky.

Brooke, thank you for asking me to be a part of your wedding and stand next to you as you became a Mrs. I'm so lucky to have friends like you three that stand by me through everything. It's rare to have people that you can go four months without seeing and immediately pick up as though you were never apart and I am so glad to say that that is how we always have been and always will be. You were the most beautiful bride and I am so happy for you and Ryan and am excited to see you start this new chapter in your life.

I love all of you girls so much and I know that no matter where life takes us we will always be together. "Maybe girls are our soul mates and guys are just people to have fun with..."- Sex and the City.

My Old Kentucky Home

Well, after three flights, a five hour delay, one hotel room and 32 hours later, I finally made it back to the bluegrass. I was greeted at the airport by my parents, Rose, Aunt Ruthie, Big John and of course, Howie. It felt so good to be home but I am already missing my home in Italy. I'm sure it will take me a while to get used to being away from my Italian girls since they've all I've seen for the past four months. It definitely felt weird using the US dollar, using cellular data and being around nothing but English. However, it's nice having all of my favorite foods, being able to drive myself around and having all of my clothes in one closet. Thank you, everyone, for making me feel welcome back in the States. Brooke, I am more than excited to be back to stand next to you as you marry your soul mate this Saturday! Let the reverse culture shock and jet lag begin!
